Care by an Independent Midwife will be unhurried and each ante natal appointment will last as long as is necessary to cover all issues that arise at that particular juncture of pregnancy.
When you come to have your baby you can be sure that an Independent Midwife will not leave you half way through as a shift ends or another situation on a busy labour ward calls her away. An Independent Midwife will stay with you throughout.

After delivery she will stay until you are happy and established in your new family unit. She will then have the pleasure of watching and helping your family adapt to life with your new arrival with a pattern of visits that suit you over the following four weeks.
